How does it work?

The laser acts on the pigment in the hair. The energy turns into heat around the follicle, with the aim of reducing hair growth over time. The wavelengths describe the light the device uses; they are part of the specification, but how we tailor the treatment also depends on your skin tone, the colour and thickness of the hair and the area being treated.

What does it mean for your treatment?

Treatment tips in different sizes let us work on both small and larger areas. The cooling helps reduce discomfort during treatment, and the sensation varies from person to person and between areas. Before we start, we check your skin and hair, talk about your goal and tailor the treatment. Protective eyewear is worn during treatment.

What is important to know?

Hair grows in cycles, so we work in a course of sessions and follow your progress. The number of sessions varies, and maintenance is sometimes needed. Light, grey or white hair responds less. Temporary redness or sensitivity may follow treatment, and occasionally changes in skin colour.
